Spirit Fog

Spirit Fog captures a stand of trees in the northern boreal forests, emerging from a rolling layer of fog, steady and still against a soft, retreating backdrop. The forest fades gently into the distance, shapes becoming less distinct as they move into the quiet. The composition has a sense of calm similar to the state of mind between reality and drifting off to sleep.

Photographed in the remote backcountry of the Yukon Territory in Canada's far north.
