CARSTEN ARNOLD
Prelude To Silence
During autumn the forest enters a state of quiet preparation. The aspens, one of the most common and enduring species across northern Canada, give way to the coming cold. This is the threshold between seasons, when the forest withdraws into stillness and prepares for the long silence of winter.
Photographed in the remote Yukon forests of northern Canada while on a 67 day journey to the Arctic Ocean.
