Drunken Forest
n the subarctic stillness of the far north, where thin black spruce trees grow over shifting permafrost, nature tilts into abstraction. Drunken Forest captures this uniquely northern phenomenon, trees leaning at odd angles due to decades of frost heaving beneath the surface. The result is a surreal, dreamlike forest where verticality has lost its grip, and beauty finds a new balance in chaos.
Photographed in the Northwest Territory above the Arctic Circle in Canada.
